Escondido- Former two-term Escondido Mayor Sam Abed announced today his campaign for Congress in the 50th District.

Sam Abed is a perfect fit for this district. He served as Mayor of the largest city in the District for the past 8 years through November 2018. He has consistently fought for strong national security, economic prosperity and against illegal immigration in this border region district, while championing legal immigration. His conservative credentials are rock-solid and as a legal immigrant to the U.S., his unique American story is one he’s proud to tell.

Abed has been a strong fundraiser in past campaigns, demonstrating his ability to build the organization necessary to be successful. A proud record of accomplishments on public safety and sound fiscal management are also among his list of strong assets as a candidate.
